That is the difference between a tree that looks convincingly snow-covered and one that looks like it was sprayed at the front for a photograph - the flocking continues into the interior where the eye expects depth and finds it.
A flocked tree changes what you need to decorate it. The white ground does most of the work, so it looks finished with far fewer ornaments than a green tree, and it suits restrained schemes - clear glass, warm metals, plain white lights - where a green tree would need much more on it before it looked deliberate.
Seven sizes run from a 4ft tabletop tree up to a 9ft floor tree, so the same look can run through a hall, a living room and a child's bedroom. Assembly is required; shape the branches before decorating. Some flocking shed is normal on first assembly - do this on a sheet. Keep away from candles, fires and heat sources.
