TORRENT is a cascade: layered geometric alabaster panels arranged in a descending composition, each suspended on its own fine cable. The cables are thin enough to disappear at a distance, so the panels appear to float in sequence rather than hang from a structure - which is the effect the whole design is built to produce.
It needs height to work, and that is worth saying plainly before ordering. In a room with a standard ceiling the composition compresses and the descent is lost; in a stairwell, a double-height foyer or an atrium it does exactly what it is meant to, drawing the eye upward through the full drop. Softly illuminated stone surfaces display natural tonal variation panel to panel, so the cascade reads as a run of related but distinct pieces.
Two sizes are available for different drops, and the larger needs real height above it. This is a substantial fitting: confirm the ceiling structure and fixing points can carry the load before ordering, and have installation carried out by a qualified electrician. Access equipment will be needed for hanging and for future cleaning at height.
