SPRUCE comes pre-strung with UL-certified warm white LEDs, which removes the worst hour of December: untangling last year's lights and finding the dead section halfway along. The light count scales with the tree - 150 on the 6ft, 350 on the 7.5ft, 500 on the 9ft, 750 on the 10ft and 850 on the 12ft - so density stays consistent as the tree grows.
Warm white was the right choice for a pre-lit tree. Cool white dates quickly and reads clinical against green foliage; warm white sits well with candles, firelight and the metallic ornaments most people already own, and it photographs properly rather than turning everything blue.
Five heights run from a standard 6ft up to a 12ft tree for a double-height hall or a stairwell landing. Measure your ceiling and allow clearance for a topper. Assembly is required; fluff the branches outward from the trunk before decorating. Follow the supplied electrical instructions, do not overload sockets, and switch the lights off when the house is empty or everyone is asleep.
