CORNICE is built around two vertical columns, each assembled from repeated alabaster rings. The layered construction gives a clearly defined ribbed surface, and the small spaces between stone sections add horizontal definition across the height - the fixture has real texture rather than a printed or moulded impression of it, and shadow falls into the gaps.
A dark bronze-toned U-shaped frame connects both columns to a single round backplate. The metal is doing structural work and shows it, which is the point: the contrast between warm dark bronze and pale stone is what keeps the fitting from reading as plain masonry stuck on a wall. Lit, the ribs each carry their own gradient from bright edge to soft face.
The twin-column format gives it more presence than a single sconce, so it suits a hallway wall, a stairwell, or a position either side of a substantial fireplace or headboard where a smaller light would be lost against the scale of the wall. Two sizes are available. Hardwired fitting: installation by a qualified electrician is required, and the backplate should be fixed into solid substrate.
