CRESCENT hangs a circular alabaster body from a long strap that wraps down through the centre opening rather than attaching above the shade. The suspension is therefore part of the object rather than something to be concealed, and the eye follows the line of the strap through the ring instead of stopping at a canopy.
That construction changes how the fitting reads in a room. A conventional pendant presents as a shade with wires above it; this one presents as a single continuous form from ceiling to base. The open ring keeps it visually light despite the stone, and the lit surface curves away on both sides so the brightness falls off gradually rather than ending abruptly at an edge.
It suits entrance halls, stairwells and open-plan spaces where a fitting is seen from multiple sides and at full height rather than only from below, which is where the strap detail earns itself. Two finish options are available. Hardwired pendant: installation by a qualified electrician is required, and the strap length should be set before the ceiling fixing is finalised.
