Cork Corner Wine Rack Bar Shelf

Black

Description

CORK is a corner unit that combines the two things a small home bar needs - bottle storage and glass storage - in the one part of a room nothing else uses. The 90-degree footprint tucks into an internal corner, so it adds a bar without taking a wall or a run of floor away from the furniture.

The all-in-one layout puts stemware holders, wine racks and open shelving in a single frame. Glasses hang upside down where dust cannot settle in them, bottles lie horizontally so corks stay wet, and the open shelves take a decanter, a shaker, or the bottles that do not need racking because they will be finished this week.

It suits a dining room corner, a kitchen return, or the awkward angle in an open-plan living space. Assembly is required. Fix it to the wall with the supplied bracket before loading - a loaded wine rack is heavier and more top-weighted than it looks - and keep the heaviest bottles on the lower racks. Ships from a United States warehouse.

The Corner Nobody Uses

A ninety degree footprint tucks CORK into an internal corner. You gain a bar without giving up a wall or a run of floor to it.

Glasses Where Dust Cannot Settle

Stemware hangs by the foot so every bowl faces down. Glasses stay ready to pour instead of needing a rinse first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many bottles does it hold?

The racking runs across four tiers and takes standard 750ml bottles laid horizontally. Most owners keep a working dozen on it with open shelf space left for a decanter or a bar kit.

Does it have to go in a corner?

It is shaped for one, and that is where it earns its space. It will also sit flat against a single wall, though the ninety degree back is designed to disappear into an internal corner.

Why store bottles on their side?

Horizontal storage keeps the cork in contact with the wine, which stops it drying out and letting air into the bottle. Every rack level holds bottles this way.

Is it stable when fully loaded?

Yes. The frame is braced across the corner and the heaviest storage sits low, so weight loads down through the base rather than pulling the unit forward.

What does the finish look like?

A dark metal frame with warm wood shelving, so it reads as furniture rather than shelving and works in a dining room or living room corner as well as a dedicated bar.
