FIR is a 6ft artificial tree with 500 branch tips in 100% PVC, and the tip count is the number that matters more than any other. A tree with too few tips shows its trunk and pole through the middle no matter how carefully you arrange it; 500 on a 6ft frame gives a full, classic green silhouette with no gaps to hide.
Dense foliage also holds decorations properly. Baubles sit where you place them instead of sliding down to the trunk, garlands drape across the surface rather than sinking into it, and lights can be woven in without disappearing into the middle. It takes a heavier ornament collection than a sparse tree will.
Six feet suits a standard ceiling with clearance for a topper. It is unlit, so you choose your own lights and colour temperature. Assembly is required: fit the sections, then work around the tree fluffing branches outward from the trunk before decorating. Store it in a dry place between seasons and keep it away from heat sources, candles and open fires.
