GROVE is a pet playpen made from natural pine with no paints, varnishes or surface chemicals. That is a deliberate specification rather than a cost saving: a pen is something a puppy or kitten will chew on within the first hour, and bare timber means there is no coating to come off in their mouth.
Panels connect into whatever shape the room allows - a rectangular pen in a corner, a long run along a wall, or a closed ring. Ringed around a Christmas tree it becomes a barrier for the few weeks when a tree, its lights and its low ornaments are by some distance the most interesting thing in the house to an animal.
Timber gives it weight, so it stays where it is put rather than sliding under a determined push, and it looks like furniture rather than fencing in a decorated room.
