RIVULET suspends globe-shaped alabaster shades at varied heights from a broad black canopy, each on its own slender black cord. Where a cluster groups shades tightly together, this one spreads them into a loose cascade, so the composition reads as movement down through the space rather than a fixed mass hanging at one level.
Small brass-toned accents sit at the cord fittings and give a warm point of contrast against the black hardware and the pale stone. It is a minor detail that keeps the fitting from reading as monochrome, and it ties the chandelier to brass hardware elsewhere in a room - door furniture, tap fittings, a picture light above the stairs.
Globes distribute light evenly in every direction, so a cascade of them fills a tall volume with soft light rather than lighting one level of it and leaving the rest dim.
