SLATE takes the bollard down to its simplest form: a black aluminium rectangle with a warm light source and nothing else to look at. It suits modern courtyards, gravel drives and architectural planting schemes where a decorative lantern would look out of place and the lighting is meant to be felt rather than noticed as an object in its own right.
Three heights - 20, 40 and 60cm - cover different jobs from the same visual language, which is what lets a garden read as one scheme rather than several. The shortest works as a low marker through low planting or along a gravel edge; the tallest throws light further across a path or driveway. Each unit covers roughly three to five square metres, which is the figure to plan spacing around when laying out a run.
The body is aluminium with an IP54 rating, sealed against dust and splashing water for normal outdoor exposure. It accepts a wide AC 85-265V input, so it specifies easily across regions. Route cable below ground before finishing paths or turf, and have installation completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local outdoor electrical regulations.
