Description
SPAN is a long, uninterrupted alabaster bar suspended from two separate ceiling points. A single unbroken run of stone is the hardest thing to make in this material and the most striking to look at - the veining travels the full length rather than restarting at every joint the way a segmented bar does.
Offset mounting blocks break the strict horizontal by sitting away from the ends, which stops the fitting reading as a plain bar hung symmetrically and gives it an intentionally asymmetric structure. Lit, the bar glows evenly along its length, so it throws a continuous band of light rather than a series of separate pools with dark gaps between them across the surface below.
The linear form is made for long surfaces: a kitchen island, a run of worktop, a rectangular dining table, or a boardroom-style table where separate pendants would leave gaps between them. Two lengths are available, so the bar can be sized to the surface rather than centred and hoped for. Hardwired fitting: professional installation is required, with both ceiling points located accurately before fixing.
