CAPSTONE sits flush on top of a pillar or a wall cap and turns a plain masonry post into a marked entrance after dark. It is solar, which is the practical point: there is no trench to dig, no cable to run down a driveway, and nothing added to the electricity bill for lighting that runs every night of the year, in every season.
The panel occupies the upper face where it takes full daylight, and the light comes on by itself at dusk and stays on into the night. Output is warm and directed down over the pillar face rather than thrown outward, so it defines the shape of the post and the ground beside it without dazzling anyone walking up the drive or glaring into a front window. A pair either side of a gate is usually enough.
Mount it on any flat pillar top or wall cap using the supplied fixings, and site it clear of overhanging branches so the panel charges fully. Wipe the glass occasionally through autumn and winter, when leaf fall and grime cut charging most and evenings are longest.
