Column LED Bollard Path Light

Warm light 3000K / Model A 30cm

Description

COLUMN is a mains LED bollard for the parts of a garden that need to be walked safely after dark: a path to a front door, the edge of a drive, the turn of a border where a step catches people out. The profile is deliberately slim so a run of them reads as a rhythm along the route rather than a line of obstacles to walk around.

Light is directed downward and outward at low level, which is the right approach for a path. It puts illumination where feet actually go, marks the edges clearly, and avoids the glare and light spill that comes from lighting a garden from above. The effect at night is a defined route through the space rather than a flooded lawn and a dark house behind it.

Twenty height and finish combinations let you run consistent lighting across a whole scheme - shorter units through planting, taller ones along a drive - without mixing product families. These are wired fixtures, so plan cable routing before laying paths or turf, and have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician in line with local outdoor wiring regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far apart should I space them?

Space them evenly along the route so the lit path reads as continuous rather than patchy. Walk the path at night before you commit to positions, and let the turns and level changes decide where the extra units go.

Is this solar or mains powered?

Mains powered, which is why the output stays consistent every night regardless of season or weather. Plan the cable routing before laying paths or turf, and have a qualified electrician carry out the installation to local outdoor wiring regulations.

Which heights should I choose?

Shorter units suit planting beds and border edges where you want a marker rather than a beacon. Taller ones belong along drives and longer paths where the light needs to reach further across the surface.

Will it glare at people walking past?

No. The light leaves at low level and travels down and outward, so it lands on the ground rather than in anyone's eyes. That is the whole reason a bollard beats a pole light on a path.

Can it stay out through the winter?

Yes. The construction is weather resistant and made for permanent outdoor installation, so it stays in place year round. Once it is in and wired there is nothing seasonal to do to it.
