PATH answers a fair complaint about solar garden lights: most of them are functional and none of them are pretty. These take the shape of a small cottage with a striped transparent shade, and the shade is the point - it breaks the light into patterns across the ground rather than putting out a plain circle at the base of a stake.
Inside sits a retro tungsten-filament-style bulb, which is what gives the warm, lived-in glow rather than the cold blue-white that dates cheap solar lighting immediately. How long does one charge last?
