SIFT is a self-cleaning litter box built around the part most units get wrong: the waste drawer. After every cycle the drawer lid closes, so waste is sealed rather than sitting open in a compartment underneath, and the room smells like a room rather than announcing that a cat lives there.
The compartment is large, which means fewer changes, and changing it is opening the drawer lid and swapping the bag - no dismantling the unit, no tipping a tray into a bin bag over a kitchen floor. It works with standard bags rather than a proprietary cartridge, so the running cost stays at the price of ordinary bin liners.
Between cycles the litter bed is left level and usable, which is what keeps a cat returning to it rather than finding somewhere else. Empty the drawer regularly regardless of capacity, keep the unit on a level floor, use a clumping litter suited to sifting mechanisms, and introduce a cat to it gradually with the mechanism switched off.
Free shipping on every order. If it is not right for your space, return it within 30 days for a full refund.

After every cycle the drawer lid closes over the waste. The room smells like a room instead of announcing that a cat lives there.
The waste compartment is large, so days pass between changes. Less handling for you and less disturbance for the cat.
Changing it means lifting the drawer lid and replacing the bag. GoodNest skipped the dismantling that other units demand.

The lid closes over the waste compartment at the end of each cycle rather than leaving it open underneath. That is what keeps odour inside the unit instead of in the room.
The compartment is deliberately large, so most single cat households go several days between changes. More cats means more often, but still far less often than a manual tray.
Open the drawer lid, lift out the bag, drop a new one in. No dismantling the unit and no tipping a full tray across the floor.
Cats that refuse a dome usually object to the enclosure, not the cleaning. SIFT keeps the entry open at the top and does the sealing down at the waste drawer instead.
Clumping litter suits the sifting cycle best because it holds together as waste separates. Fill to the marked line and the cycle handles the rest.
