Unfold the panels, fill it, and it is ready - which removes the twenty minutes with a pump that stops most people bothering on the hot afternoon when a dog would actually use it. It holds its own shape rather than depending on air pressure, so it will not sag as the day goes on.
Rigid sides also make it easier for a dog to get in and out without folding the wall down and losing half the water, and there is no inflatable ring waiting to be punctured by a claw. It packs flat for storage over winter and takes up far less space in a shed than a rigid moulded pool that cannot be folded at all.
