ZENITH is a broad disc-shaped shade finished with a slim brass rim and a matching detail at the centre. The two brass elements bracket the composition - one at the outer edge, one at the middle - and everything between them is left as plain lit stone, which is the whole point of the design.
The softly translucent surface shows subtle natural variation when illuminated, so the disc has pattern of its own without any applied decoration. Keeping the metal edging restrained is what preserves that: a heavier rim would frame the fitting as a piece of hardware rather than let it read as a lit surface with a fine line drawn around it.
